Cyber Security Awareness Month
October is Cyber Security Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the value of cyber security and educate people about how to stay safe online.
October 1, 2024
In today’s digital world, cyber security is more important than ever. That is why we recently introduced Bill 194, Strengthening Cyber Security and Building Trust in the Public Sector Act, 2024, which if passed, would bolster cyber security, protect sensitive data, and safeguard the use of AI in the public sector.
We encourage you and your constituents to provide feedback to help guide the development of draft regulations for Bill 194 to better protect Ontarians. By enhancing cyber resilience, we are ensuring essential sectors remain secure and operational.
Ontario continues to urge everyone to be diligent when it comes to protecting their online data. Please have your community members take full advantage of our many online resources, including the K-12 Zone, to learn more about how to stay cyber safe!
