October 21-26 is Small Business Week in Ontario! Let’s join in to show our gratitude for our vibrant small business community in Scarborough and across Ontario, and shop local!

There are over 400,000 small businesses in Ontario, which make up 98% of all businesses in the province, contributing to our economy and employing over 2 million people.

By lowering taxes, reducing electricity costs, and cutting red tape, the Ontario government is ensuring small businesses have the resources and supports they need to succeed. To date, we’ve delivered an estimated $8 billion in cost savings and support for Ontario employers, with $3.7 billion directly impacting small businesses.

Ontario has proudly partnered with the Ontario Centre of Innovation to deliver a new Digitalization Competence Centre to help Ontario businesses achieve digital transformation, and Futurpreneur Canada to support the next generation of young entrepreneurs.

Our government is working around the clock to help small businesses succeed because we see first-hand the impact they have. When Ontario’s small businesses prosper, local families thrive, and our economy continues to grow.
